For another preliminary work, miss told us that we should create something. She said that we could do a book cover, poster, CD cover etc..This would help me because my task for this year is to create a magazine, so this is some good practice. I didn't have time to do another photoshoot so I just picked a picture from my other preliminary work, and decided to make a poster out of it. The idea that this could be an escape room - special halloween edition, came surprisingly quick into my mind.
I looked for something that might inspire me on google images but nothing seemed to quite resonate with what I wanted. I firstly wrote "escape room" as a big text, over their faces (didn't take screenshots of that) but miss suggested that I make it curved along the hands. The picture was already black and white. I wanted to highlight the cross somehow, maybe make it glow or something. I used the lasso tool to select the cross and copied it in another layer; After playing a little bit, I decided I didn't like how the cross was looking next to the writing, so I let go of that idea. I added the 'fog' to the writing and put the address and some thing 'intreating': "can you escape in 60 minutes?".
The third picture is the final work.
